TSNS $1000 Scholarship to ANA Summer Seminars

  

TSNS AWARDS BIG FOR FALL (NOVEMBER) 2010 SHOW EXHIBIT

 

A special Award has been prepared for the Senior Best of Show Exhibitor at the Fall (November) TSNS Show.

The award will be a footed urn in the 1970's Fostoria Coin Glass.  A little history of Fostoria Coin Glass. The company was founded in 1887 in Fostoria, Ohio and moved its factory to Moundsville, West Virginia in 1892. The company operated there until 1983 when they were bought out by Lancaster Colony. Lancaster closed the plant in 1986. Their glassware is highly collectible, with many of the pieces affordable. The piece has a book value of over $100.

This special piece of glass will set atop a black carved wood stand with an engraved plaque. The plate will read TSNS Fall Show 2010 Sr. Best of Show Exhibit.  

To exhibit at the show and have a chance to win this fantastic award Contact Exhibit Chairman Wendell Brush or go to the web site for an exhibit application.  Experience not necessary just a desire to show off your favorite coins or currency.  Locking showcases will be provided if needed.

 

 

MEMORIAL AWARD FOR RUTH ARMSTRONG BIGGER

Longtime Tennessee State Numismatic Society Bourse Chairwoman, Ruth Armstrong Bigger, 91, died Oct 1, 2009 in Ringgold, GA.

The TSNS is establishing a memorial award in her honor for the contribution that she made in establishing the TSNS Convention. Donations toward the award named in her honor may be sent to the TSNS in care of Gayle Pike, Box 11705, Memphis, TN 38111.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 6221 Shallowford Road, Suite 102, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
